Overview
The Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics (CMEH) the Australian Maritime College (AMC), are offering two scholarships to recognise students who achieve high tertiary entrance scores and who are enrolling for the first time at the AMC in maritime engineering courses.
Eligibility
- Scholarships will be awarded to domestic students who have achieved an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) of 90 or above, or IB36 or above in 2026, and who are commencing their first year of study in any undergraduate level maritime engineering degree programme offered by the CMEH, in Semester 1, 2027.
- To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University Accommodation Services and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship).
- International students with an Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking (ATAR) awarded in 2026, as outlined above, are welcome to apply but will need to provide proof of ATAR rank.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
Amount
Approximately $10,200. The scholarship will cover the first year of on-campus accommodation costs in any UTAS accommodation.
