Overview
Funded through the Federal Government's Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP), The tunapri rrala Scholarship for Tasmanian Aboriginal Students is offered by the University of Tasmania to recognise and reward high academic achievement and commitment to tertiary studies as well as demonstrated evidence of leadership and involvement in the Tasmanian Aboriginal community. ‘tunapri rrala’ means 'strong knowledge' in palawa kani language.
Eligibility
- Available to a Tasmanian Aboriginal student who has successfully completed at least one year of full-time study (or equivalent) and is entering the second or third year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Tasmania.
- Applicants will be assessed on the basis of academic merit in their tertiary studies and demonstrated evidence of leadership and involvement in the Tasmanian Aboriginal community.
- Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview in the second week of February.
- Applicants must demonstrate their current involvement in the Tasmanian Aboriginal community and provide evidence that they are recognised and accepted within that community.
