Overview
This scholarship is provided by a graduate in Paramedic Practice from the University of Tasmania, who now works as a Paramedic with Ambulance Tasmania. The scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Tasmanian mature age students who wish to embark on a new career in Paramedicine. Applicants are encouraged to show previous and on-going commitment to their local community through volunteer work.
Eligibility
- The Scholarship is available to mature students (over 26) commencing study in Paramedicine at the University of Tasmania in Hobart.
- Preference will be given to students who are from a rural or remote area and are re-entering the workforce.
- It is preferred that the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate recent volunteering experience in community groups such as the State Emergency Services (SES) or the Tasmanian Fire Service (TFS).
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
