Overview
Mrs Gurdip K. Sindhu has made a gift of $10,000 to the University of Tasmania to fund an annual prize in paediatrics for the best graduating student in the discipline in the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery course.
Mrs Sindhu has had a long interest in encouraging excellence in paediatrics both as a practicising nurse and midwife, while she lived in India, and as wife to eminent paediatrician, the late Dr Santokh Sindhu who taught in the area over many years in the UTAS School of Medicine.
Eligibility
Awarded to the student in the final year of the Medicine Program who demonstrates excellence of learning and achievment in the discipline of Paediatrics. The top 3 performing applicants will be invited to undertake a viva vocé.
