Overview
This Prize is made possible by the National Trust Tasmania, who received an endowment established by the friends and family of the late Martin Davies, who passed away in 1995 while working in Antarctica. Martin played a leading role in the fight to establish the conservation of the Tasmanian cultural environment as a priority for the government and the community. Through his work he brought both passion and rigor to saving, analysing, conserving and interpreting the heritage of Tasmania. The aim of this prize is to promote the deeper understanding of architectural heritage, issues of conservation and current practices.

Eligibility
The prize is available to second year Master of Architecture students who have undertaken Proposition Studio. The prize will be awarded for the best two projects focusing on cultural and built heritage and/or its adaption, conservation or translation for ongoing life.

$1,250 first place, $750 second place
